News and Events: 2009 "WE CARE" WALK		"We Care" Walk raises over $6,000 !!

Thank you to all who supported and/or participated in the April 18^th "We Care" Walk at the Oro Valley Marketplace.  Because "you care," important funds were raised to carry out the mission of Interfaith Community Services!

The weather was fantastic and participants enjoyed their choice of the 5K Nature Walk or a leisurely Art Walk.

• Denise Hart and the Management and Maintenance team at Oro Valley Marketplace for allowing us to use the Nature Trail and Art Walk for our event.
• Mayor Paul Loomis for joining us on a very busy day.
• Our friends at Thrivent for Lutherans - Tucson and Green Valley Team for their ongoing support and participation
• Lisa Kinder, Lynn Cunningham and the team at Chase Bank for providing fruit and manning one of our Aid Stations.
• Terri Greif and the team at American Home Mortgage for donating the bottled water and manning the other Aid Station.
• Drs. Bob and Deb Oro and all those associated with Healthiest Town in America for their support and promotion of the event.
• Wal-Mart at Oro Valley Marketplace for financial support to purchase the "Because We Care" t-shirts.
• Best Buy, Olive Garden, Chase Bank and McDonalds within Oro Valley Marketplace for their special offers and support for this event. 
• Steve Pollyea, Kevin Koch and Chris Smith for leading the group in calisthenics before the Walk. 
• Our staff and volunteers who assisted with the Walk.
