News and Events: ′07 "We Care" Golf Classic Summary

The 2007 Commerce Bank of Arizona "We Care" Golf Classic raised over $40,000 for ICS while providing an enjoyable day of golf for all.

A field of 144 golfers teed off on Veteran′s day, November 12 at Oro Valley Country Club. It was a special day filled with some patriotic touches and wonderful camaraderie. Golfers from our member faith communities and our sponsors enjoyed 18 holes of golf, a delicious buffet, an inspiring program featuring Gen. John A. Wickham, JR., Ret. and Oro Valley Mayor Paul Loomis, and an exciting raffle.

Thanks to our many sponsors, this year′s event raised 30% more than last year′s to benefit ICS programs for the disadvantaged, the disabled and the elderly.

We would also like to thank the "We Care" golf committee, Jerry Ahamann, Mike Parr, Mac Fiske, George Chardukian, Tom Hackett, Bob Lyons, Michael Mumford, and Bob Kirkpatrick for all of their hard work.
