2007 MUSIC FOR THE SOUL CONCERT

The 3rd annual “Music for the Soul” concert has gotten some great reviews. With an audience of 900 and 150 performers, the Nov. 8 concert was a complete success – both artistically and as a fundraiser for Interfaith Community Services, earning approximately $35,000. | The 15 acts in this year’s show had something for everyone – from Native American basket dancers and singers to classical pianists, harpists and the repertory singers; Jewish and Christian rock bands to Buddhist chanters, Hindu dancers and Jewish cantors; mariachi bands; gymnasts and Irish dancers to radio deejays and puppets; and finally, a mass gospel choir to send everyone home with dancing spirits. Here are some comments about the show: ·Our MC Bobby Rich said “I absolutely LOVED the show and feel privileged to have been part of it. The production values and the talent was top notch. I thought I was at a UA Presents show at Centennial Hall." ·Lidia Allen: “My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful concert … We thank you and the staff for the hard work in putting it all together. It was inspiring and brought us much joy. The community certainly seemed to have been drawn together in delight. Job well done!” ·One of the event committee members said, “I will carry the glow of this year’s event for quite awhile. I really felt a spiritual “presence” for every one of us at the Fox last night…”
We thank Dr. Jeffry Jahn, our artistic director, the other members of our event committee, and all the performers for making this concert the best “Music for the Soul” yet.
