Examples of Gifts of Love support include holiday gifts and clothes, summer school supplies, and summer camp registrations. The benefit of working with ICS in this program is that each family in need has already been screened and has received services from ICS. In some cases, the donors meet the recipients, while in other situations, ICS serves as the intermediary.

2011 Holiday Gifts of Love Program
Each year ICS works to bring holiday cheer to struggling Tucson families through "Gifts of Love." The program allows participants to "adopt" a family who would not otherwise be able to afford gifts or clothes. Participating in the holiday program makes this time of year happy and memorable for clients, and provides the rewards of giving to donors.
During the 2010 Holiday "Gifts of Love" campaign, ICS donors adopted 82 families. "I was so worried and heartbroken that I couldn't provide my children with any gifts at Christmas," said Clarissa, a past recipient and single mother of 5 who was unemployed at the time her family was "adopted" through the program. "I can't explain the appreciation I have towards your thoughtfulness for my family."
ICS is now registering donors for its 2011 Holiday "Gifts of Love" campaign. As holiday plans take shape, consider uniting with friends, family members or co-workers to adopt a family this season. ICS will choose a family of the donor's desired size and provide information about their clothing sizes and gift suggestions.
