BECOME A VOLUNTEER

A message from our Volunteer Resources Manager~

I am so pleased that you are considering joining the ICS volunteer team. There are so many wonderful opportunities to choose from, and my job is to help you find your special way of being involved. I am also available to help answer any questions you may have.

Your next step is to contact me, either by phone at 520-297-6049, or via email - sbrickley@icstucson.org. I will assist you in our volunteer intake process which includes the following:

Volunteer Orientation - This is a two-hour orientation which gives you an overview of ICS services, our mission, and some basic guidelines which will help you be prepared for your role as a volunteer, working with ICS recipients. This orientation is offered twice a month. See Volunteer Training for more information on the upcoming training schedule.

Registration - This involves completing our volunteer application. We ask for two personal references and permission to run a background check. These steps help keep all of our recipients and volunteers safe.

Placement and Training - Finally, I will help you connect with the coordinator of the program of your choice where you will receive specific training for your assignment. Many of our new volunteers appreciate "shadowing" an experienced volunteer, whether it is on the front desk, delivering meals, or providing transportation. We are here to work with you!
