Join Us: Volunteer News: MOBILE MEALS EXPANSION | | ICS Mobile Meals volunteers deliver fresh nutritious meals each weekday to older, physically challenged, or convalescing adults who are unable to cook for themselves. | Help ICS Expand Its Mobile Meals Service Interfaith Community Services is planning to expand its Mobile Meals Deliveries in the 85718, 85719, and 85705 zip codes. Meals will be provided by Campana Del Rio which is on River Rd between 1st Ave. and Campbell. In order to make this successful, we need 5 new regular drivers and at least 5 substitute drivers. A regular driver is assigned a day of the week when he or she delivers meals to 5 - 8 recipients between the hours of 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Substitute drivers make themselves available to cover these shifts when the regular drivers are not available. Click here to find out more about ICS Mobile Meals. This expansion is only possible with your help! Mobile Meals Volunteers receive: - Mileage reimbursement at the current federal business rate of 48.5 cents a mile
- Opportunity to meet and help interesting people in your community
- Training involves riding a route with a current driver
Mobile Meals Volunteer Requirements: - Valid driver′s license and proof of auto insurance
- Availability 11:00 am-1:00 pm during a weekday
Please contact our volunteer coordinator at 297-6049 or sbrickley@icstucson.org to sign up for training.
