2023 Peanut Butter Party is a Smash Hit

The 2023 peanut butter count is in! We set out to collect 10,000 jars of peanut butter in July for the month-long Peanut Butter Party. Thanks to our faith community partners, local businesses, and many friends, we ended up with more than 11,000 jars!

ICS food banks now have peanut butter to distribute for months to come because of dedicated faith community partners and many new friends who donated for the first time.

In the friendly competition between faith community partners, St. Mark’s United Methodist defended their title for Most Jars Donated, earning the honor for a third year with 2,090 jars. Mountain Shadows Presbyterian Church is also a repeat winner for Most Jars per Capita – the small yet mighty congregation collected a whopping 1,464 jars!
