Two new Mobile Food Bank locations are set to begin serving the Tucson community this May, continuing a growing effort to expand access to nutritious food for families in need.

The first new site will launch on May 1, operating from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Pima Community College’s Downtown Campus, located in front of the Advanced Manufacturing Building near 11th Street and Mabel Avenue.

The second location will begin service on May 27, running from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the City of South Tucson Housing Authority, located at 1713 S. 3rd Avenue.

“These new sites are part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring that all members of our community have reliable access to healthy, nourishing food,” said Josh Hennings, Senior Program Manager of Food Distribution. “We’re thrilled to bring the Mobile Food Bank to Pima Community College Downtown and to the South Tucson community. These new locations will help ensure that even more families have access to healthy food, and we hope it makes a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.”

The Mobile Food Bank initiative aims to address food insecurity by meeting people where they are—bringing fresh produce and staple items directly into underserved neighborhoods.
