Interfaith Community Services (ICS) is launching its ninth annual Peanut Butter Party food drive on July 1, 2025.
Every jar donated will support families in need and help fight hunger in the community. ICS aims to collect more than 10,000 jars before the drive concludes on August 1.
The Peanut Butter Party started as a donation drive among ICS’s 100+ partnering faith communities—but now it’s a community-wide effort!
Individuals, families, neighborhoods, clubs, and workplaces are all invited to host a Peanut Butter Party in support of ICS. Participants simply collect jars of peanut butter and deliver them to ICS. The initiative offers a meaningful way to engage the community during the summer months and provides an excellent opportunity to introduce children to the value of service and giving back.
Peanut butter is a staple at ICS food banks. Every household receives a jar because it’s a nutritious, kid-friendly protein that doesn’t need refrigeration or cooking—ideal for families and individuals in temporary or unhoused situations.
“Food drives like the Peanut Butter Party are essential for our food banks,” says Joshua Hennings, ICS Food Distribution Manager. “Food distribution is expanding. In May, we added two new sites for our Mobile Food Bank, and donations from the community make it possible to continue adding new areas that previously had no food bank access.”
Donated peanut butter is being accepted at two ICS locations:

Mon, Wed: 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Tue, Thu: 8 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
