9/11 National Day of Service & Remembrance

September 11, 2024

In commemoration of the 9/11 National Day of Service & Remembrance, ICS invites you to help feed the hungry in our community. Three ICS locations are collecting food on Wednesday, September 11.

What to Bring

  • Peanut butter
  • Canned meats: tuna, chicken, Spam, etc.
  • Meals in cans with pop tops: chili, ravioli, etc.
  • Canned (no glass) pasta sauce
  • Pasta
  • Canned fruit & veggies
  • Boxed baking mixes (Bisquick, Jiffy, etc.)

Drop-off Sites

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service is a defining moment each year when Americans across the country step up to make our communities more equitable and take action to build the Beloved Community of Dr. King’s dream. His example is our call to action.

The 9/11 Day of Service & Remembrance honors 9/11 victims, survivors, and those who rose up in service in response to the attacks. It is an opportunity for AmeriCorps members and the community at large to come together, make new connections, and work as one team.
