Community Bag-A-Thon Food Drive
More than 130,000 people in Pima County are food insecure. That’s 12.6% of the population. In October 2022, fill a bag to fight hunger in the Tucson community.
The most needed items at the food bank:
ICS Northwest Food Bank
Monday-Friday 8 a.m.–4 p.m.
Saturday 8–11 a.m.
2820 West Ina Road
ICS Eastside Food Drop-Off
Monday-Friday 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
8701 East Old Spanish Trail
(at Camino Seco on the campus of New Spirit Lutheran Church)
If you can help on October 29, sign up on the United Way Days of Caring website. Serving is more fun when you do it with a friend, so bring one along! Official ICS volunteer status is not required.
Spread the word about this community-wide effort! Here are two easy ways to increase your impact:
Start a neighborhood effort. Print Bag-A-Thon flyers (PDF, 8.5″ x 11″) and distribute them to neighbors or friends. Collect their donations and bring them to an ICS location when you bring your own.
Have a workplace food drive. Print the Bag-A-Thon mini-poster (PDF, printable on standard 11″ x 17″ paper) to hang in the break room, along with a collection box or bags. Set a company goal and challenge your colleagues to meet it. At the end of the month, bring the food to an ICS location.
