Financial Assistance

The number of Pima County households who need help meeting even the most basic human needs has risen dramatically in recent years.

ICS assists individuals and families with Emergency Financial Aid for housing, utilities, medications and other living necessities, along with short-term case management. The program works in conjunction with other ICS services (such as our Food Bank and Resource Centers) to help clients in crisis stabilize their situation (such as avoiding immediate homelessness or hunger), while they gain the tools to move toward self-reliance.

We also provide support for other simple items, such as steel-toed boots, ID’s, uniforms and drug screening fees to help clients get back to work.

Gifts of Love is ICS’s “adopt a family” program. We match congregations, businesses, civic groups and individuals who wish to help with our case-managed families to provide gifts and much-needed items for the holidays. The program also offers assistance with school supplies in the fall. Year-round opportunities are available.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance provides free tax preparation to individuals and families.

Services are provided at the ICS Main Office and the ICS Eastside Office.
