Other Ways to Give: Gifts of Love
The ICS Gifts of Love program is a way to match families in need with donors and groups (faith communities, schools, businesses, civic organizations) who are willing to help meet seasonal needs.
Examples of Gifts of Love support include holiday gifts and clothes, school supplies, and summer camp registrations. The benefit of working with ICS in this program is that each family in need has already been screened and has received services from ICS. In some cases, the donors meet the recipients, while in other situations, ICS serves as the intermediary.
For information on participating in this wonderful program, contact Margie Derrick, ICS Gifts of Love Coordinator, at email@example.com or (520) 297-6049 ext. 219.
Gifts of Love Holiday Program
The holidays are an especially challenging time for the Pima County families who turn to ICS for help to meet their basic needs. As you prepare for your holiday celebration, please consider adopting a family who does not have the resources to buy clothes or gifts. The ICS holiday Gifts of Love is a wonderful way to bring together friends, neighbors, co-workers, or members of your faith community to celebrate the true spirit of the season. Each year many families have a happier holiday thanks to the generosity of our supporters.
ICS will choose a family who meets your donation abilities and provide you with their clothing sizes and gift suggestions to make shopping easy. Gifts can be dropped off at the ICS offices or arrangements can be made for you to take gifts directly to your adopted family. Contact Linda Kayden at firstname.lastname@example.org or (520) 297-6049 ext. 219 to make a difference for a family in need this holiday season.
Gifts of Love School Supply Program
It is often difficult for families to provide school supplies for their children. In an effort to alleviate part of the financial burden that the beginning of school can cause, ICS collects school supplies starting in June and distributes them to needy students in July. In 2016 the program helped nearly 1000 students start the school year with the tools needed to succeed. Click here to learn more.
