“People with the instinct to give and serve others need to know that ICS gets things done in a professional, efficient and compassionate way. This wonderful approach to community needs is so important in the face of a difficult economy and the fraying of the public safety net. We love ICS and what it stands for.”
A gift to Interfaith Community Services through your will or estate ensures that your commitment to making a difference in the lives of seniors and those less fortunate in our community will continue beyond your lifetime, while helping to sustain ICS’s mission of service.
Longtime donors, Ed and his wife Kay say they give to ICS as a way to help solve issues that are important to them and to the community, like hunger and homelessness. “We like to support organizations that we know personally and are involved with firsthand,” Ed adds, “ICS offers many ways to get involved, from giving rides to seniors to helping people find jobs to distributing food bags. Most volunteer positions involve assisting clients. We see the impact of ICS every day, and we know ICS is a responsible steward of donations,” Ed adds. “We love being part of that.”
For Judy and Jim Marvel, becoming part of the Jenkins Family Legacy Society was the right decision. “We appreciate the mission of ICS and the work that it does to help people help themselves. We contribute to the Legacy Society so that work will continue long after we are gone,” says Jim Marvel.
The Interfaith Community Services Endowment exists to sustain ICS’s mission of compassionate service into the future. As our endowment grows, it provides a stable, predictable source of income for capital and operating needs, while giving ICS a safety net to weather fluctuations in funding. A strong endowment is vital to ensuring ICS has the capability to serve our community today and for years to come.
Gifts made to the ICS Endowment are professionally invested to produce income and increase principle. The principle is never invaded but continues to grow over time. Fund performance is monitored by the ICS Finance Committee.
