Emergency Financial Assistance Program
To apply for aid for rent, mortgage, utilities, emergency prescriptions, gas vouchers and bus passes, small car repairs, uniforms, ID’s, birth certificates, and drug tests, please note the following process:

Step 1. Call your closest office to determine whether we are making appointments. Each day will vary on how many appointments we can make, so please be patient. Sorry, we cannot accept walk-ins and we do not maintain a waiting list. Appointments are made on first call –first serve basis each day. If we are not taking appointments for that day, we will inform you which day to call back to inquire again.
Step 2. If you have been accepted on the appointment list, you will be called for a phone intake to get basic information for your household. To be eligible, certain types of assistance require meeting income and residency requirements. If your eligibility is determined, an appointment will be scheduled with a case worker. You will be informed which documents to bring to the appointment.
ICS Food Bank
The ICS Food Bank at 2820 West Ina Road is open Monday – Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 1 p.m. and (starting Jan. 5, 2016) Tuesday from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. for Pima County residents. To be eligible, bring a picture ID showing residence in Pima County (or bring a rent or utility bill documenting your name and address). ICS operates as a pantry of the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona; recipients can receive one monthly emergency box from any of the food bank pantry outlets. ICS also offers supplemental items when available.
Holiday packages are distributed (one per household) by ICS starting the week of Thanksgiving through the week prior to Christmas. Call for the details.
Food donations can be dropped off at the ICS Food Bank Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Food Bank at the Eastside Office at 8710 E. Old Spanish Trail is operated by New Spirit Lutheran Church and is open Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 1st and 3rd Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The Resource Centers are available for job search assistance, resume building, interview skills, computer training, financial literacy education, and Building Futures for Families, which includes couples communication workshops and parenting skills. Services are provided on a walk-in basis, and appointments may also be made by calling the respective offices:

Caregiving Services for Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities
Caregiving Services include transportation, grocery shopping, home repairs and yardwork, business help, companion sitting, friendly visiting and friendly phoning, TeleCARE and TeleCHAT. All services are free and provided by volunteers.
Services are provided to residents in the following zip codes based on volunteer availability: 85701, 85704, 85705, 85710, 85711, 85712, 85713, 85714, 85715, 85716, 85718, 85719, 85730, 85737, 85739, 85741, 85742, 85743, 85745, 85748, 85749, 85750, 85755, and 85652, 85653, 85654, and 85658.
Recipients must be registered by ICS in order to receive services. Registration for services will include a phone and an in-home interview to determine the services needed. This process may take up to 2-4 weeks to complete…please be patient! Once registered, you call the office to schedule a ride or service request, allowing for 7 days to find a volunteer to assist you.
Call 520-297-6049 ext 4223 to begin this process. The office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Volunteers deliver 2 meals a day, Monday through Friday, to recipients who are physically or mentally unable to prepare adequate meals for themselves or don’t know how to prepare a modified or restricted diet meal as required by their doctor.
Meals cost $8 per day and a sliding scale is available for those who qualify. ICS provides Mobile Meals in the following zip codes: 85704, 85705, 85716, 85718, 85719, 85737, 85739, 85741, 85741, 85742, and 85755.
Recipients must be registered by ICS in order to receive services. Registration for services may include a phone and an in-home interview. This process is completed in 7-14 business days. Special diets confirmed with a physician’s authorization can be accommodated.
