National Volunteer Week: A Time to Say Thanks
National Volunteer Week in April gave us a chance to thank the many ICS Volunteers who worked nearly 70,000 hours last year helping people lead stable, healthy and independent lives. Volunteers give their time to work in the ICS Food Bank, drive people to doctor’s appointments and the grocery store, deliver Mobile Meals, answer phone calls at the front desk and help in many other ways. We loved getting a chance to give them spreads of tasty treats thoughout the week! A special thanks goes out to "Cakes For Causes" who donated homemade goodies. Volunteers who stopped by our offices were also entered into a daily raffle for some special prizes. They were all fun ways to thank the people who make a huge difference by freely giving their time to people in need. Thank you!
In December we presented the 2016 ICS Founder's Recognition Awards and Director's Awards for Volunteer Service.
