Every day, thousands of people in Pima County struggle to put food on the table.
ICS Food Banks are going mobile! ICS has added a Mobile Food Bank that enables us to better serve the needs of hungry households in our community.
The addition of the Mobile Food Bank makes it easier for individuals who are limited by their lack of available transportation to get to either site to pick up food. With the new Mobile Food Bank, ICS hopes to help rectify that problem. The truck is custom built to distribute frozen meats and refrigerated items such as diary and produce. With new truck, ICS will be able to bring a full-fledged food bank experience directly to our clients in the areas where they live.
Eligibility requirements for the Mobile Food Bank are the same as for our permanent locations. To be eligible, bring a picture ID showing residence in Pima County (or bring a rent or utility bill documenting your name and address). ICS operates as a pantry of the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona; recipients can receive one monthly emergency allotment from any of the food bank pantry outlets. ICS also offers supplemental items when available. Items distributed through the Mobile Food Bank count towards part of an individual’s monthly allotment.
The ICS Mobile Food Bank will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at the following locations:
TUESDAYS – Connection Pointe Church (4314 N Romero Rd)
WEDNESDAYS – Rincon Congregational UCC (122 N Craycroft Rd)
