Faith Community Partners

Faith communities have played an important role with Interfaith Community Services since the organization’s inception in 1985.

Working side by side, we are able to do more than any one individual congregation can do. Together we are a strong resource helping those in need with “Love, Cooperation and Service.” Over 75% of ICS volunteers come from our network of member faith organizations.

ICS is proud of its association with the faith communities listed below and invites you to visit the following websites to learn more about each partner.

How to Become a Faith Community Partner

If you would like additional information about becoming a member faith community, please contact Phil Lynn, Outreach and Partnerships Manager, and plynn@icstucson.org or (520) 526-9312.

There are many reasons for your community to join in our interfaith endeavor. Following are highlights of the benefits and advantages of joining our partnership. As an ICS member faith community:

  • You will have a central and well-qualified resource in which to send congregants and community persons in need of emergency help and care. We provide compassionate care and services equitably, fairly, and quickly.
  • You will be able to make Faith Community Referrals to us at ICS. This will ensure continuity of ministerial care to your constituents and those you serve in ministry.
  • Your office staff workload will have support and gain valuable relief in dealing with human care problems.
  • You will learn about satisfying volunteer opportunities for members of your community at the convenient and caring environment at ICS.
  • You will pool your “mission or social action” dollars with other congregations to multiply the direct services we can provide to persons in need.
  • You will join a professionally managed, low-cost outreach which ensures accountability for our services and resources.
  • You will name a direct representative from your faith community to serve on the ICS Council. Regular status reports will also be provided to your community to keep you informed about the services we provide.

We would be happy to meet with you at your convenience to discuss in more detail how you can join our partnership.

Our office hours are 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday – Friday and we invite you to stop in and visit us in action at any time. We look forward to the opportunity to join with you in serving the needs of our community.
